Reading Family | Fall Portrait Session | Children Photographer

I first met this Reading family during a spring mini session. At that time they were a family of 3. They recently contacted me to document their life now with their newest family member. I enjoy asking my clients questions about their portrait experience. I love the expression of the little boy in this family photo.

What inspired you to book a family portrait session?

Capturing special moments of our family at this point in time-specifically our two year old, Charlie and our newest addition, Madelyn. We felt these photographs would be a wonderful gift for our family and far more valuable than buying “stuff.”

It can be challenging to get a 3 month old to lift their head up for the camera and take a nice photograph.

Please share any goals that you had for your family portrait.

Capture the kids together and solo and a variety of family shots.

This old grey wood floor made a wonderful backdrop for the 3 month portrait.

What was your favorite part of the experience?

Seeing the final product during the ordering appointment.

This is a perfect moment in time and this family will always look back on these photos and smile. This rod iron gate made for a nice close up portrait of this little boy.It can be hard for a 2 year old to hold their baby sister for the photographer to capture the moment.

Ten, twenty years from now how do you think your family will feel when they look back on these portraits?

Happy and nostalgic regarding this point in our life.

This big brother enjoys playing with his sisters toes. Laying down in the grass can make for a beautiful portrait.
